Guilford Covered Bridge Park

The oldest park in the system is unique for a number of reasons, Guilford Covered Bridge Park is the site of the restored Guilford Covered Bridge, a major county landmark and frequent roadside tourist attraction, as well as an excellent family gathering area with access to Tanners Creek.

Cars are permitted to drive through the wrought iron gates, across the bridge and park in the lower lot. A small shelter house, basketball court, play equipment and bathroom are located in the central open space. The park is a popular picnic spot and has been the site for many family reunions and even weddings.
